Founded in 1947, Highway Inn has been family-owned and -operated for more than 70 years, offering Hawaiian and “local” American comfort food. In addition to coordinating larger projects such as Tūtū’s Kitchen and providing menu photography sessions, PIOMP maintained an on-call relationship with Highway Inn since 2015 and steps in to assist with press releases, media communications, board presentations, event assistance, new project brainstorming and other services.

Role:

  • On-call writing, editing, project brainstorming, communications, presentation preparation, event planning

  • Press release writing
  • Edit client-written materials such as press releases, communications materials and presentations
  • Assist with new project brainstorming and development
  • Assist with event planning (vendor coordination, communications, day-of coordination, etc.)

Project Scope:

Projects vary in scope and size, ranging from light editorial assistance to major project development and event coordination, including helping to document the Waipahu restaurant move from its previous home of 35 years to its new location, share the story of that move with media and coordinate the launch celebration event.
